Patricia Brioux Great question. This actually doesn't pertain to me per se but I would love to dig deeper into my Dad's family. So a biography/family tree of sorts. Our family doesn't really know anything about my Dad's side, him included; mainly because they're spread all over the world but also because the two people I/we could have asked, died when I was really young, and also because it was an unspoken agreement not to ask when they were here. His father was French Canadian and he fought at Dieppe, so he had a lot of horrors in his life, and his mother was a Brit, who packed parachutes for the British Army. I am told they met when Papa was stationed for a period of time in England but other than that we don't really know too much about them. So I would love to solve that mystery. I think it would answer a lot of questions, to be honest.
Patricia Brioux This is such a fun question and there is just too many to choose from.
- But okay, I think I would go to Adam Wallace's, "How to Catch a Leprechaun," book world.
First reason, I'm Irish, second, I'm from a very small Irish town where our streets are named after the streets found in Ireland, and third, I am a St. Patrick's Day baby, so it seems pretty fitting that I travel to this world. And obviously I would be the leprechaun, however, no one would be able to catch me!
Patricia Brioux Right now I am working on two little projects, both of which are children books. Not sure where they're going to end up, but I am having some fun playing around with them!
Patricia Brioux Fortunately, I haven't had to deal with this yet. Ask me at a later date though and I'm certain I will be able to tell you.

If I had to guess though I do imagine I would probably have to step away from the project for a bit. Maybe read a book in hopes to get re-inspired, talk to some of my girlfriends or my sisters - get their opinions. I don't really know. I'm not really to anxious to find out either to be honest. LOL
Patricia Brioux By reading! I love to read. There is nothing better than snuggling into a cozy blanket wearing warm socks with a cup of hot cocoa and a stick of chocolate. I get inspired by falling into other peoples tales. For children books specifically; I have 8 little feet looking up to me. I want to make them proud and nothing makes me want to write more then when a smile graces one of their faces over a silly illustration or hearing a giggle leaving their belly over a funny character.
Patricia Brioux My sister in law Trace actually, you should check her out. She runs an online fitness program, resetbreathe.com, it runs a variety of different programs - HITT, Yoga, Pilates, etc - but really focuses towards acknowledging ones self-worth. At the end of each class she finishes with 3 positive affirmations. She generally asks everyone to repeat after her but then also encourages people to create their own. They generally are things like I showed up today, I improved today, and I am awesome. Her class was the first time I said, I am Awesome! She has such a great brand and such a positive outlook on life and really just wants the best for people, however that may look.
Patricia Brioux Keep going! Honestly, there were so many times I wanted to throw in the towel but I'm so happy I didn't. There is nothing like holding your project in your hands at the end of it all, the accomplishment you feel, it's remarkable really. I remember at the start of my journey I was so hesitant because I was so nervous how people would view it, but as time went on I realized it didn't really matter so much as long as I was happy. I needed to do it for myself. It's important for people to know their capabilities. So for any aspiring writers just show up, step into the arena and follow your heart!
Patricia Brioux The freedom it brings. Being a writer is very cathartic in a way. First off, it takes a lot of grit, hard work and determination to see a project through but once you hold that final product in your hands, its very liberating. Yes, you open the door to millions of opinions, and lets be honest not all of those opinions are are going to sway in your favour, but if in doing so you are able to put a smile on even just one of those faces, then its worth it.
Patricia Brioux Lots. The top of my list though has to be the Soul series by Kennedy Ryan. I read her "Grip" series last summer and fell in love with the story between Grip and Bristol. In the Soul series it tells Kai's and Ryhson's story, so I'm anxious to read how they began.
