Diary of a Time-travelling Alien I really can't explain its origins. It was a mad story I first worked on 2 years ago during National Writer's month. Finished in lockdown before my 45th birthday.
Shaerlyn has been a work for some 13 years, based on work I started decades before that. I know it was around the time of Anne Rice and Stefanie Meyer and Vampires were all the rage. And I thought-why not Angels? ( Anne Rice later wrote a series with Angels but I haven't read them as yet.)

inspiration to write is easy, inspiration to finish is hard. In short, I turned 45 and we had the covid pandemic and I just decided now I will finally finish. I ran out of excuses.
Once that first book is done, the floodgates open. Publish something, a poem, a short story, a recipe book, get through the transition from want-to-be, to being a writer.

Being finally able to say yes I have some books out instead of " well I am working on one" and people giving you that pitiful look. I recommend Thomas Wolfe's " Story of a Novel" as the best way to explain the difference between writing and being a writer.

write regardless of your mood and circumstances. Don't worry if it isn't Shakespeare or Tolstoy, just write. You can correct, edit later.

Currently working on a Supernatural thriller based in the Scottish Isles and book 2 of the Angels of Zion series( due out in October).
I also have a dark romance and a sequel to Diary of a time-travelling alien due out probably the month after.
I have several ideas I am working on, especially Sci-fi, but they will have to wait till I clear the backlog!
