R.S. Rain
I've always written long poems and wondered if I can write short poems without the temptation of making it longer. So I challenged myself to limit the amount of lines/stanza I usually write. My computer was right in front of me so I began to experiment. Thus, Inhale Exhale was born. The alternate title was "Depression and Company" but as per a poll result, Inhale Exhale was the winner! In the beginning stage, I didn't have it in mind that this collection was going to be about me, I just wrote some feelings down and came up with a patter for the format (as you read, you'll notice it right away.) As I reached half way through the writing, I realized the collection is very autobiographical so I decided to go full out and bare as much as I could (some content were left out as it was too intimate to share). I was going to label the collection fiction if that particular section was added because I didn't want anyone to know it was my experience, but decided against it. Hence, it was taken out and the non-fiction category remained. Some of my experiences was mention in "The Hollow Darkness: The Unwritten Diary" in the first volume, so I didn't want to repeat those moments here either. I wanted them to be different in their own ways.
