It came to me one day when I went to the bookstore to work on a script project. I had never thought myself a book author, since scripts were my most familiar form of writing, but this idea had been swirling in my head for a couple of years, and it took shape this one day. Like divine inspiration, this familiar voice in my head said, "Pick up your pen." I opened my notebook, picked up my pen, and out poured this amazing story -- almost in full. It was long, too! Though visual, I knew it had to be a novel, and I knew it was a trilogy. I've always had a passion for social justice and equality, and I've always loved sci-fi and thrillers. This story really brought those together.

I'm currently working on book 2 of The Vessels trilogy, and hope to have a first draft done by January, 2021. Wearing my screenwriter hat -- I wrote The Vessels TV pilot that is currently being shopped for consideration. I also revised three very different film scripts during the pandemic, and am now developing a brand new eco-thriller idea I've had for over a year. I first thought it would make a good feature film, but not believe it wants to be a TV series.

The best thing for me about writing is being able to slip into the skin of brand new characters and see their world through their eyes. In The Vessels, not only do I get to (create) and walk in their shoes, but I also get to trip, stumble, run, fail, fall and then soar to new heights with them that even they did not know were possible.
