The idea for my first book just kind of came out of the blue. I completed it in about three months and I really did not experience any serious writer's block during this process.

I'm in the planning stages for my second book but I have not started writing it yet. I'm trying to promote my first book on social media and it has proved to be quite challenging, especially in view of my limited financial resources.

I would say that an aspiring writer should select a subject that he/she feels strongly about. In the case of my first book, "The Conscience of An Agnostic", I had to do a lot of research. A non-fiction writer has to be willing to do this careful research in order for his or her book to be credible.

The idea to write "The Conscience of An Agnostic" seemed to just come out of the blue. In reflecting on my own life as well as the history of our planet, I am struck by the apparent randomness of it all. I have four chapters in my book dealing with the random cruelty of life. I realize that this is not a very uplifting perspective and I'm not trying to depress my readers, but I feel that I must be intellectually honest in terms of my perception of reality.
