Stone Keye I usually work out scenes in my mind way before I actually write them down. Getting a scene just they way I want it in my mind's eye is usually inspiration enough to write.
Stone Keye I don't think I have had a full on case of it where I couldn't write anything. I have had times where I did not feel like working on a particular book. I address it in two ways:
1. I will go back and start editing what I have written. Sometimes that is enough to get my motivation back.
2. I just take a break. If I can't write, I have plenty of other things to occupy my time.
Stone Keye My eyes were barely open when I made it to the refrigerator. I almost screamed when I opened the door and found I was out of diet Pepsi.
Stone Keye Current books on my list to read include: White Fragility, The Depth of Snow, The Open Portal
Stone Keye Creating your own reality. Especially in fantasy writing, there are no rules. You can create whatever your mind can come up with.
Stone Keye Many new authors, including myself, usually start with the question "Would you read a book about xxxxx?" What I have discovered is the answer is almost always a "Yes" if you can tell the story well. In an author's mind, their story is perfect. The hard part is writing it so the reader sees it also.
Stone Keye Currently working on book three of "The Modern Warlock" which I will have out no later than October 1. Also, I have another series I am working on, tentatively named "Death's Arbiter". No release date for it yet but am hoping for early 2021
Stone Keye Ideas for my books come from people or things I encounter daily. A billboard or a TV ad may trigger an idea. Then I let play with the idea, morph it until it is ready to be added to my book.
