Thank you for your review, TL! Yikes! Okay, the gang in 1938/now: Vivian -Katherine Hepburn/Jennifer Lawrence?; Preston – Cary Grant/a little bit younger Keanu Reeves (love him); No one can replace Carole:) Since you like the 1920s, too, I’d love to gift you with a copy of Songbird, the first in my Jax Diamond Mysteries (friendships and a German Shepherd partner/sweetheart in that series!) Email me, if you’re interested: gailmeathauthor@gmail.com Thank you again!! x

Hi Pat! I've used both of those sites, but my reply will be a little lengthy, so I'll write to you separately. There is also a site that offers 1-2 months Netgalley entries for far less money than Netgalley charges, which is very helpful to test and see how our books are received there before signing up with them.

Hi JR, it's nice to meet you. I saw that you write children's books, and I think that's wonderful. I wish you well. Unfortunately, exchanging book reviews is against the 'rules', so I need to pass. But I will certainly let my daughter know about your books. I have a seven-year-old granddaughter who would probably love to read some of them! Again, it's nice meeting you, and I hope you have a great day!

I'm so glad you liked the photos! I had such fun finding just the right ones to depict each chapter. Honestly, I'm a very 'visual' person. I have to imagine an entire scene in my mind before writing it. The images helped me do that and, I hoped, they would add some spice (maybe even a tease) for readers. I was disappointed to learn later that on most devices, the images are black and white, rather than color, which is what I use. Thank you again for such a great review! Have a wonderful day:)

Hello Kayleen, thank you so much for writing! My dad was in the 108th Infantry. I appreciate your efforts and devotion to writing so many books with other WWII vets' stories. It is very commendable. Personally, my dad's experiences during the war, and his passing, are too heartbreaking for me to read or write any stories during that time period. But I am grateful to you for sharing that information with me, and I wish you well. Hugs, Gail

Hi Charity, there are a couple ways I've tried. Booksgosocial.com is affiliated with Netgalley, and they will post your book on Netgalley for a cost of about $65, I think, for one month. Additional months after that is a little cheaper per month. Netgalley is $450 for 6 months. With Booksgosocial, one downfall is that you don't have access to Netgalley, except for your book, and you would need to go through them to make any changes rather than do so yourself. My books have also been placed on Netgalley for a more limited time (@ 1 week) thru promo sites like Bookshelf, where you pay for a package deal. Those are the only two I've used. I hope that helps!!

Hello Sarah, my apologies, but I need to pass on your books. They look wonderful and you have great reviews so far. I wish you the very best!! I am a historical romance author, my preferred genre, and not really into books of faith. I don't think I would be able to give you a proper review that being the case. Good job setting up your author page!!! Wish I could have been more helpful in that. All best, Gail

Hi Sarah, I have a few other books to finish, but send me a copy...any format will do, and I'd love to read it. Also, I'm not an expert here on Goodreads by any means, but I wondered - your 'page' looks like a reader's page, not an author's page? Therefore, I don't see either of your books posted (which is what authors and readers look at before choosing them). Did you set up an author's page? There are a ton of great people here who can help you do that if you didn't. I have one, but not sure how to "add" one with an existing page. Have a good day!

Hi Penelope, thanks so much for writing. I was going to send you a note. Hers is a scam for sure. I could put up with her pestering emails until she sent me her overseas bank account info for my payment. All I did was ask her for info! Never again:) I followed you back!! Thanks again and have a great day!

Hi Frank, I'm new at this and read how advantageous KU Select was, but they demand exclusive rights for ebooks. The 3-month Select term is expiring for 2 of my books in April and I plan on posting them on Smashwords, where they will be available on Nook, B&N, Walmart, Amazon, etc. I am so glad you enjoyed my book and I thank you again for taking the time to read it!!

Hi Frank, thank you so much for taking the time to read Fire Blossom and I appreciate your comments. As an author I’m sure you know how thrilling it is for readers to truly grasp the emotions and essence of the stories. The characters and plots of each of my books stems from several different sources, i.e. personal experiences coupled with historical research. Fire Blossom was an idea of mine since I was in grade school when we read about Mary Jemison. In 1755, Mary was abducted during a Shawnee Indian raid in New York State and adopted by the Seneca Indians. She lived several years with them and when she was offered freedom, she chose to stay with her tribe. Her story fascinated me and, along with other factors, it spurred the idea of writing this book. I love historical research and generally, I choose a time period/event, build some main characters and then, they pretty much lead the way to the end. Thank you again for your interest!! All best, Gail

Hi Frank, thank you! Yes, I definitely would like to check yours out. While I write historical fiction, there are a variety of genres I enjoy, especially when an author writes about people, places, plots that they're passionate about.
