I received Bless Me Father: Rob and Bastian, Part 1 in a giveaway on Prolific Works but don't like cliffhangers. I checked your Amazon page and can't find out anything about it? Where is the rest if this part 1? Thanks

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Julia McBryant I'd rather go to Brakebills, become a magician, and then all of y'all would be in some serious trouble. Seriously, the magician, as Lev Grossman says, has the ability to take their pain and make the world what they want it to be. I would ... God, I can't even begin. Honestly? And this chokes me. I'd turn into a whale for a while. And if you've read The Magician King you know what I mean. I'd turn into a goddamn whale, and I'd listen to them sing, and learn their whale spells, because whales are actually magicians, did you know that? Now I'm crying, thanks Lev Grossman. I'm tweeting him this now.

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Julia McBryant Oh man. My TBR list has taken over. Daniel Elijah Saderfer; I need to catch up on more of my G.R. Lyon; I need to read more of the House of Dragons series; all the L.N. Manning. SO LONG. Plus Morticia Knight and Sessha Batto (GET TO READING HER OMG SHE'S SO GOOD).

What are you currently working on?

Julia McBryant Today I'm working on Wills' and Crispin's novella. Then I'll be working on an interrelated work about Wills' brother next.

Julia McBryant Inspiration is a myth. Writing is a craft and an art and a joy. It's not a damn bolt from the blue.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Julia McBryant Write every damn day, no matter what. Don't let anyone stop you. Read the good stuff, the lyrical stuff, and learn to pay attention to your language.
