I have some kind of weird "curse" that results in me always being in terrifying situations with SPIDERS. Just last year, I found a very large spider lurking in a towel, AS I WAS USING IT TO DRY OFF. Why do spiders always find me? Do they sense my fear? Do we share some kind of undiscovered connection? Are they seeking revenge for something? It is a mystery indeed.

I would definitely spend some time at Hogwarts (the early days)! I would love the opportunity to just explore that magical space (and hopefully take a class from Professor Trelawney) :)

When I was preparing to spend a year volunteering in South America, I had so many friends step-up to support me. I had friends who gave monthly financial support. Friends who gifted me the items I would need for the journey. Friends who stored my earthly goods. Friends who threw me "good-bye" parties. It was so heartening how my people wrapped around me, as I did this scary, amazing thing.

I am currently working with my publisher to market my debut book, Friending: Creating Meaningful, Lasting Adult Friendships. Additionally, I am teaching college Psychology classes, providing psychotherapy services for my clients, working on ideas for a Friending blog and/or podcast in the New Year, and just really trying to thoroughly enjoy the holiday season :)
