A candid chat with a friend. Yes, that's where my idea for the latest books sprouted from. A random topic, an off-hand remark and voila I had the perfect idea, I wanted to turn into a story and share with the world.

Write, write often.
Even if you do not like it the next day, try to write often. Write then read, then modify, even discard if you aren't satisfied but keep trying. It is not easy even for best of authors to write everyday or get it right in the first shot.

Best thing about being an author is the liberty you get to shape up stories, fantasies and create something, which may help the reader escape their reality for a little while. .
A reader lives a thousand lives, being an author I feel we get a chance to give that one little fantasy to the reader through our stories.

I am currently working on a stand alone love story based in Bengaluru, India. It deals with a social stigma and how the characters are impacted and work it out. In the backdrop of pain and sufferings, the main characters fall in love and make their life together.
There is a little bit of family drama, some sibling rivalry, annoying in-laws, stolen kisses, awkward situations and a bit of suspense.

Inspiration is all around you! In our everyday life, from all the people we meet, a chance encounter with a stranger, an off-hand remark from a friend. Anything and everything can inspire, you just have to keep an open mind and be open to ideas. One thought one idea is often what triggers the start of a story in my mind. And then you just keep pursuing it, working on it.

Writer's block, as annoying as it can get for a writer, it is true and happens. Those are the times when the story doesn't move forward, so instead of getting frustrated about it, I either start thinking, visualizing about a new story or potentially about new scenes, twists in the current plot and that usually helps.
