“Why were you both rushing like that?” “She mentioned she loves Jamun, the fruit, so I got that, and she told him she loves Lychee, so he got that. We were competing to see what she would eat first.” My heart swelled seeing their love for her. And they had to choose that exact moment for their competition to ruin ours. “And what did she eat?” “She popped one of both in her mouth simultaneously after feeding us both!”

I was already falling so hard for him, even though he had many shortcomings. I hated his anger and his devotion to his mother. Still, at least he was devoted to his mother and respected her, unlike many others of his generation who disrespected their parents and were devoted to other women. Ayush never had eyes for anyone else, and I was so glad. According to Ishaan, he wasn’t a ladies' man, and he had never had a serious girlfriend.
