If I'm writing a novella, mapping out each chapter is so critical! That is how I finally published my first novel after many years of wonderful writing! I mapped out each chapter, and wrote every day. Writer's block sometimes happens for me when I don't write for more than a few days. Having the story map helps me stay focused.

Everything! I feel creative and peaceful after I've written an hour, or a moment.

Just write. Set aside a small time to focus on your writing. And read!!! Read the classics, for sure!! And then, reading the genre you enjoy is a way to mentally develop the patterns of writing for that genre. Then go find your own voice!!! Everyone can write! You have to let loose about being perfect as you write and just let the creative juices flow! Write what you love. There's something called 'drafts'. Then the other work begins. But to find your true voice, just write. Opinions, stories, poetry. And be able to accept constructive suggestions to refine the process.

Promoting my first novel for now. Enjoying the feeling of finally being a published author.

I usually get my ideas and inspiration from every day events and life; watching people, learning about different things, and then transforming what I see and heal into a short story or novel. Mostly, I watch movies and TV and real life and volunteer. With all this real material, is is rather easy to get inspired!

All the Little Children Need to Come Home was the story I needed to tell about the life (and sudden death) of my youngest son, Todd. By merging non-fiction (my story, my feelings) with fiction (angels/Heaven) I was able to transform my grief into something almost magical for me and my journey through grief and eventual healing from losing my son.
