I would go to the world of Dragon Ball once a week on a day off or weekend, spend the day in the special Saiyan training pod where 1 hour on earth equals 1 day in to work on my projects and rest, then get out of there having done in one day more than I can do in a month. Isn't that the dream?

First, write! Just like sports, you need practice so read and write as much as you can. It's ok if you're not good at spelling or grammar. That's something you can worry about once your story is completed, and there are plenty of people to help with that.
Then get people to read you. Preferably different sort of people to get different feedbacks. Ask them to honestly tell you what they like or not, how they think you could improve. Accept that they might not like what you wrote at all and ask them why. Maybe they're just not the right audience. Or maybe they can make get better. Maybe both!
Of course you want what you wrote to be liked and considered pure gold. Probably won't happen so be at peace with that. And there's no writer that's universally liked, so be sure to remember a negative review does not mean your career as a writer is over!

I have the opposite of writer's block. Well not exactly hypergraphia, as I can control myself, but when I set to writing, the words just flow.
Maybe it's because I have lots of ideas for stories but lack time to actually write them all...
I guess if I did not have another job, I would eventually face writer's block like most authors. ^^

I had a dream about it! Of course it was not as articulate (dream logic...) but the idea stuck around and I plotted the short story.
Then, I got stuck with narration until I saw a writing contest with a requirement that fitted perfectly!
Needless to say, I also joined the contest and got a contract from the publisher! Unfortunately, they closed down later last year, which is why I decided to self-publish "Sources de plaisir".
Its English title is "Really Hot Springs" but that's all I've translated so far...
