I take a break from the computer and let my mind go. Quite often, I get my best ideas while I am lying in bed at night trying to go to sleep! I also read a lot of other books in my genre to get the juices flowing.

I'm five chapters into the first draft of my next novel. It is going to be another contemporary romance with a subplot centering around domestic violence. I'm getting braver with my second book, with some love scenes that are a bit more erotic than my first book.

I had the idea for Leap Before You Look in my head for a long time. When my father passed away earlier this year, I needed an escape. My job can be quite depressing. When I added the loss of a parent to the mix, it was too much. I needed something to lose myself in. I sat down one night and just started writing. I learned that I really enjoyed writing. I didn't necessarily think I wanted to be an author until I started. Now I love it so much that I'm well into my next book!
