Haru Ichiban Summer pisses me off, especially after the subsaharian heat wave we had this January! The last thing I want during summer is to read. Or to live.
Haru Ichiban No. I rather create a happy story.
Haru Ichiban Well, definitely to the world of Forbidden, my own saga. The problem is that, being a normal human, I possibly would not have a ton of adventures like the paranormal beings in it. But at least I'd be surrounded by a ton of hot guys who are just my type!
Haru Ichiban Hi, Felix! Sounds like a delightful read. I would like to read it and review it, but I can only do it at Goodreads for the moment. If that's okay with you...
Haru Ichiban Sure thing, Jerry! I want my books to be as "me" as possible. As independent authors we have that freedom too! I think it's a great thing to revisit earlier books and make them more polished. It's for our own enjoyment after all :) and growth is always uncomfortable, but the alternatives are not what you want.

Haru Ichiban Very funny... I was listening to a radio drama where a couple was painfully parting ways, and the sea was heard in the background. I then decided I wanted a story like that. I also wanted a story with a little girl, a cat, and a vampire. So, story with a tragic couple, sea, girl, cat and vampire. Forbidden came out. But since I decided I didn't want too much drama, I toned it down a lot. You have no idea how much!
Haru Ichiban I rarely suffer major author's block (I think my longest period was a couple weeks). I once suffered it for months when my artwork was unfairly and HARSHLY criticized by some little nobodies. Now that I got older and (hopefully) wiser I would never let that under my skin.

But if I really need to get my creative juices flowing, I just observe life.
For example, yesterday I met the sloppiest, lamest guards EVER. I can't think of a place I would put them right now, but they're priceless as book characters. (The only problem is when I eventually do, people will think I'm very exaggerated. Fiction has to make sense, life does not).
Haru Ichiban Inspiration is a queen, and so it comes and goes whenever she pleases. But anything striking enough is sure to get my pen moving--if not the same moment, then somewhere in the future.
Haru Ichiban As artwork, on the first Forbidden novel illustrations/pinups/character sheets.

As writing, on the eight next Forbidden titles! What?! Yes, I don't finish a novel before jumping to the next. I'm an erratic person, and so I work best this way. The next one in the line is about halfway done, while another further down the road is 95% done.
Haru Ichiban Creating your own world, your own reality! The things exactly as you like! Adding excitement to this existence!
Haru Ichiban Heck, come back in five years and I might be able to reply this question! Right now I seek advice, not give it. There's no point acting like I was an expert at this point.
