Impossible to answer. I've been writing since I was 14. I can't reconstruct the events from back then. All I can say is that my first short stories (none ever published) were inspired by my favorite TV show - "The Twilight Zone."

I'm always working on two projects simultaneously. Stall on one, switch to the other. Sometimes I just start something completely new. Couple of weeks ago in a burst of energy, I hammered out a 6-page summary of a totally new novel in a couple of hours. Still not sure if it's brilliant or BS.

Book 2 of the Tempestas series, tentatively entitled "The Duty of Madness." It takes the story into 2053 with a continuation of some of the first book's story lines and adds some new characters - and one HUGE flashback.
