I go somewhere else, and write longhand with a fountain pen in a very nice handmade notebook. Then my writing FEELS quality, even if the words aren't. Plus, handwriting takes up the brainpower usually used for criticizing. And if it's in a notebook, it doesn't really COUNT, which takes the pressure off.

Listening to other people talk about what you've created like they're real people and places. Meanwhile, there's a voice in your head laughing "Mwahaha! I've tricked them all! None of this is real! I made it all up!"

Just do it. Set word count goals, sit down, and write. When you hit a wall, google stuff. You'd be amazed how much you can learn from the comfort of your chair. Then take what you learn, and go write some more.
