Family gossip says my great-grandfather (grandma's dad) killed his first wife (grandma's mom) by pushing her down the stairs. The official story is that she tripped and fell, but my grandmother always believed he killed her. He wasn't a nice man, apparently. It'd be interesting to explore a story of a woman diving into her family's dark secrets and perhaps parallel her own life in some way. Of course, it'd have to be romantic suspense because I need happy endings!

I have a couple of different projects going. I'm writing the second book in the Mystic Point series (which should be out in the Fall), doing edits for the manuscript I most recently completed (the first of a trilogy revolving around female Air Force veterans), and outlining the second book in the trilogy.

Music. I generate a playlist of songs that evoke a certain emotion or mood, one I want to capture in my story. I've always been a sucker for a good ol' heart-wrenching love song, so music is a perfect inspiration for me to write my romances. Sometimes, a song will actually inspire a plot. Luke Bryan's "Goodbye Girl" inspired the backstory for the heroine in the manuscript I just completed.
