B.B. Swann This one is easy right now.

"We took our last child away to college. We are now empty nesters."

Oh the horror! LOL!
B.B. Swann Some authors spend oodles of time on character maps, writing arc outlines, or other methods to decide who their characters are. I just hit the pavement. Walking, running, or riding my bike gives me the freedom to get away from distractions and sort of commune with the character in my head. I think it has something to do with endorphins. :) My favorite part is when I get an idea for a character's part in my book and it sends goosebumps across my skin. That's when I know I've really hit on something good for my story.
B.B. Swann I can't pick just one so I'll lump them all together. If I could join any fictional book world, I would definitely go into one of the fantasy books I've read. Harry Potter, Eragon, Fablehaven, and a few that I've been blessed to read as a critique partner, I would love to be able to do magic, ride a dragon, meet mystical unicorns and fairies. The closest I've come in real life is The wizarding world of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, and that was just a tease. If anyone figures out a way to send me in for real, let me know!
B.B. Swann My WIP is a story about an alcoholic teen who meets death in the form of a girl. She forces him to make a choice; change his ways and live or die from drugs and alcohol. The story is loosely based on a friend from my past, one that made the latter choice. I want to portray the effects of addiction but also the hope for redemption.
