R.E. Laurel Oh my. The past 2 years have been horrific, and I have begun a story with it but not sure if I care to relive it. My companion says I need to get it out there and that it could be a healing for me and a lesson to others.
R.E. Laurel My advice would be to research your story once the idea comes to you. Take plenty of notes. The small details are important for example the color of the characters eyes. I had her one time a blue eye, then later green eyes. Good thing I caught that.
Write what you know too. It makes it a lot easier, but the research will just add to your story.
R.E. Laurel My current WIP is titled One Million Stars, One Wish.
It is set at a place I recently had the chance to vacation, Virginia Beach. I loved the area, the atmosphere and as I begin brainstorming my story, the characters just popped!
R.E. Laurel Something, she didn't know what, told her to walk back the darkened hallway. Entering the kitchen, her scream filled the room at the blood splatters on the wall and the body that barely fell out the door, a butcher knife in his back.
R.E. Laurel I am currently working on another contemporary romance and just came up with a title. At the moment it will be called Her Favorite Mistake but it could change.
R.E. Laurel When writer's block hits me I continue researching the story I am currently working on. Or I turn on some music and get into some kind of house cleaning.
