This is easy. Harry Potter! What would I do? A better question is, what wouldn't I do! I would definitely explore Hogwarts. I would visit Diagon Alley and check out Weasley Wizard Wheezes. While I was there, I would express my condolences to George and thank him for his service. A trip to Hogsmeade would be in order, especially to buy one of everything at Honeydukes. (Well, maybe not Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. Bleh.) I would love to visit the Burrow and Harry's new home, but those are private residences, and no doubt they've been protected from Muggles, which most likely means I wouldn't even know they were there.

I rarely get writer's block, because I've trained myself to write under pressure. As a freelance writer, there are many times you have to come up with words when a deadline is staring you in the face. You find ways of mining every resource available to kickstart your brain. As a writer once told me, "You can edit s--t, but you can't edit nothing." So, even if you think it's s--t, get it on paper or on the screen and fix it later.

Write. Every day. The more you write, the easier it will be to write under pressure, one day, when a deadline is looming. Plus, the more you write in your own voice, the more you learn about yourself.

I loved writing a Harry Potter travel guide. I've taken other book-related tours, so my next e-book will be about a recent Outlander tour I took with Celtic Journeys.

Just about everything and everyone I encounter inspires me to write. Being a freelance writer has taught me to write every day. Once the flood gates are open, they're hard to close. I'm always looking for a "hook" to see how I can turn a topic into helpful advice or a story.

I researched several places in Lancaster County for a series of geocaches I wanted to create with a Harry Potter theme. The geocaches didn't work out, but those magical places stayed with me. I wanted to share my findings with anyone traveling to Lancaster County.
