Robbie Cheadle Hi Marian, lovely to meet you. Not all my books are co-authored. I write my Sir Chocolate books together with my son, Michael, and I wrote While the Bombs Fell, a young adult novella, together with my mother, Elsie Eaton Hancy, as it is her story. I also have a book of poetry I co-authored with another South African poet, Kim Blades. I do, however, have a young adult book called Through the Nethergate which I wrote under my full name Roberta Eaton Cheadle and a children's book, aimed at middle school children, called Silly Willy goes to Cape Town. I also have a short stories in a number of paranormal and horror anthologies.
Robbie Cheadle Hi Paul, lovely to make contact with you. I actually received an email you sent to a fellow author I know. She forwarded it to me yesterday. I will tell my mom and show her the photographs. She will be pleased. I will also reply to your email. My mom is also 81.
Robbie Cheadle Hi Coral I would like to join the review group.
Robbie Cheadle Hi Phyllis, yes I am reviewing your book for the first round and I did buy it as I prefer my reviews to be verified purchases.
Robbie Cheadle I am usually inspired to write my poetry from events that I see or experience on my journey through life. I write quite a lot about poverty and the effects thereof as I see beggars and street children every day. I am also inspired by beauty and acts of kindness. Mike and my Sir Choc stories are usually inspired by fun activities we do together. The act of buying ice-cream in New Zealand inspired Sir Choc and the rainbow ice-cream fairies which will be published next year.
Robbie Cheadle Mike and I have just finished book 2 in the Sir Chocolate's World series. The book is entitled Sir Chocolate and the baby cookie monster. Sir Chocolate and Lady Sweet find a lost baby cookie monster and have an adventure returning the baby to his mother. The book includes five new recipes.
Robbie Cheadle My son and co-author, Michael, came up with the idea of a little man made of chocolate who lives in a world where you can eat everything. Michael finds writing difficult but has wonderful ideas. I decided to turn his ideas into little rhyming verse books to encourage him to write. We both also love to bake so we decided to make our book into a cookery book as well. We included five simple recipes that children can easily make with adult supervision.
