Interesting question with no easy answer. I can provide a little help. Drop down to my G/R profile page and send me a 'friend' request. I tried to send you one but your profile doesn't accept them. I prefer not to do this in view of the entire reading public. Just me. Jeff

I was assigned to Fort Sill (from the book) when I was In the Army. I loved Oklahoma, especially the people. My mother and her family are from Ok. What's not to love.

I tried. Alas, I can't.

It was an answer to a question for me to tell a two sentence horror story? “I tried. It was terrible.”

Good morning, Larry. Do me a favor and use my email. You still with Deer Hawk?

Of course, I remember. October 32nd was excellent. And yes, I'll order a copy of The Judas Robe later today. My other issued book is THE DEFECT. It is admittedly a bit rough around the edges. It was my first attempt. Look past the edges and I hope you enjoy it. Smiles.

Thanks for the nice comments and good questions. I'm expecting the release of I'm a Marine just after the new year. The screen play should be available about the same time. I do have more for the 'Sing' family series. I have ten stories in various states of development. Most have Brian, Lenell, and DAX in some capacity, but each will feature a different Sing family member and a unique nuclear theme. I'll make sure that you're the first to know when I'm a Marine hits the bookstores. Smiles.

Milo and Otis because they didn't try to change each other.

The idea for my current project is called the 'Radioactive Boy Scout.' look it up on Wikipedia. It happened. However, what if a terrorist did what the boy scout did. Would the public ever hear about it. A cover up would be required to maintain the peace of mind of the American public. Watch for I'm a Marine next May.

I'm inspired, every day, by stories derived from my 45 year resume in nuclear related industries. My first job, at .U.S. Army. I recently retired from a science and engineering staff position at a national laboratory. I have no ends of nuclear related stories.
I take the seed of stories from every day news. The story seed for The Defect was the meltdown accident at Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Station. Is everyone sure that it was an accident. A hooded gunman, armed with a gun, did attack the Watts Barr. Nuclear Power Station. Everyone knows the public story behind my books. I tell the back story of how terrorist committed the acts of sabotage. None of what I write every happened

I live in a unique area in the Pacific Northwest. We have the fastest growing wine industry in the country and the oldest/largest nuclear industrial park in the country (the Hanford Reservation.) My current project is a combination of the two: tageted nuclear terrorism focused on agricultural sabotage. My current project is scheduled for release in May 2018.
My next project, I'm a Marine' is based on the life of my oldest granddaughter: aviation firefighter, Corporal Cassadra Sing (book character name), USMC.

I have two pieces of advice: Write every day because you love it. Don't expect to make money from your writing. If you love it, money will come.

I love the independence. I write when I want. I market when I want. I go to the movie when I want. After all, I am retired. When I do write, I get lost in the experience. I can write for hours without realizing the passage of time.

I'm a retired scientist. As such, I don't outline my stories. I spread sheet them. With a spread sheet, I don't need to write linearly. I bounce around to whatever part of the book strikes my interest. If I'm having trouble writing a section, I switch to another section somewhere else in the book or to another book altogether. I then insert my cursor to the appropriate spot and keep on writing.
