Writer's block is definitely a challenge sometimes because I am not a full time author. If I'm struggling with a part of the story I do a couple different things. Sometimes I change up background noise (turn on or turn off something--usually music). Other times I jump to a different part of the story. My favorite is to find a different space to write. At times I actually do all three.

Music is a big inspiration for me. I choose something that helps me feel the emotions I want in the particular scene. Sometimes it is romantic, sometimes it is sad. Music really helps me get in the writing frame of mind.
