L.M. Reynolds Hi Steven,
I am so sorry that I missed your question! I am aiming for publication in mid to late spring. It is so nice to know that you enjoyed the first two, and hope that you will like the third one as well!
L.M. Reynolds Hi!

I'm aiming for mid to late spring. Thank you for asking, and am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the first two.
L.M. Reynolds I remember a time when I was walking across the tarmac someplace in Africa, disembarking from an airplane as others queued up for boarding. While the world can sometimes be very small, I was still surprised to see a man I'd known from a different continent. As we approached each other, a smile on my face, his eyes met mine and it was immediately obvious that he was not pleased to see me. When I was a few feet away, he whispered, "You don't know me," and kept on moving. I never saw him again. I've often wondered why he was there, where he was going, and what he was doing, and will eventually build a story around that encounter.
L.M. Reynolds I step away. Typically I either wrap myself up in some other unrelated project, or I go out of town to visit friends. Either way, the distraction frees my brain to work behind the scenes and without pressure to perform. When I return to writing the novel, the fog is gone.
L.M. Reynolds I've written dozens and dozens of technical manuals and instructional materials, and fiction is a lot more fun! While I do make a huge effort to ensure that whatever I write is at least plausible, there are very few constraints. I like the freedom afforded by being able to put on my creative hat and let the words fly.
L.M. Reynolds Read, Read, Read ... anything and everything. Knowledge is such a key element in telling a story! And hire a good editor, who will find mistakes and give you an earful of advice.
L.M. Reynolds My current project is a novel that reaches back to the terrible events of the early nineties in the Balkan states ... when Yugoslavia split into several independent countries and the world saw the first international tribunal to prosecute genocide since Nuremberg.
L.M. Reynolds Working for Pan Am provided me with all manner of interesting glimpses into international intrigue. I've been scribbling story segments for a long time, and ultimately decided to flesh them out. It doesn't take much to get me going :-)
L.M. Reynolds I was researching explosives and ran across a Dept. of Defense document about transport of military weapons. It seems that, on occasion, a contract transport company has parked the truck overnight in an interstate rest stop or in the parking lot of a large retailer because no one at the destination base was available to receive the shipment. Hopefully this no longer happens. It certainly gave me something to write about!
