Which Fantasy author do you think has inspired you most? I think that 'The Eagle's Flight' is very George R.R. Martinesque in its world-building.
Daniel E. Olesen I'm sorry for the belated answer; I don't think GR ever notified me I had been asked a question. In any case, I would probably have to say I owe the greatest debt to Tolkien. Even if I have done my best to minimise any signs of obvious influence, there still remains the fact that he was the one to show me world-building was even possible on such a scale.

Daniel E. Olesen I power through it like a power drill powered by a nuclear power plant going critical. Sure, there's some fallout Chernobyl-style, but no omelet without broken eggs and all that.
