Sarah Fox I'm so sorry this answer is years late! Hopefully you discovered that there are three more books in the Literary Pub Mystery series after An Ale of Two Cities. Thank you for reading my books!
Sarah Fox I'm so sorry it took me so long to see this! I wasn't getting notifications for new questions. The publisher decided not to continue the Pancake House Mysteries after book #8. While I might someday continue the series on my own in some form, I don't have any current plans to do so. Thank you for your interest!
Sarah Fox I'm sorry I didn't see this before! Unfortunately, the publisher decided not to continue the Literary Pub Mysteries after book #5, Through the Liquor Glass. Although I haven't completely closed the door on continuing the series in some form on my own, I don't have any current plans to do so. Thank you for reading my books!

Sarah Fox The Black Cat Knocks on Wood by Kay Finch, Pearls and Poison by Duffy Brown, A Spirited Gift by Joyce and Jim Lavene, The Reader by Traci Chee, The Musician's Daughter by Susanne Dunlap, and a few others!
Sarah Fox About a dozen or so years ago, when I was living in Vancouver, the police used the cedar hedge along the side of my family's property as a place for officers to hide while conducting surveillance. When the shifts changed, an unmarked car would pull into the back neighbour's driveway and the officers (in plain clothes) would climb over the fence to access the hedge or the car (they did have the courtesy to let us know so we weren't alarmed by strangers in the backyard, although my dog still was, naturally). This went on for days, if not weeks, rain or shine. I remember waking up at five o'clock one morning, startled by the sound of the fence creaking, until I reminded myself that it was just the cops and went back to sleep. I strongly suspect I know which house they were watching, but exactly why and whether they ever got what they wanted out of the surveillance, I'll never know. To this day I'm still curious though!
Sarah Fox Usually just thinking about my characters is enough to get me inspired, but if I need some extra help with inspiration I listen to music that reminds me of my book, I talk with my critique partners, or I read a novel from the genre I'm writing.
Sarah Fox Bringing my characters to life on the page and being able to share the stories in my head with other people.
Sarah Fox Never give up! Also, remember that your path to becoming a published writer might not unfold how and when you hoped or envisioned, but that doesn't mean it won't lead you somewhere great.
Sarah Fox I'm currently working on the first draft of For Whom the Bread Rolls, the second Pancake House Mystery, due out in March 2017.
