Wow, it happened so long ago! Honestly, my husband had decided to re-watch the entire series of Lost and I had pulled out my computer in revolt. I wrote while my family watched the show. The characters had just come alive to me. The story took a huge jump forward after I found a print out of an old map, the Carta Marina. The sea creatures drawn on the map had opened up a huge amount of inspiration. Then the story just kept growing so fast, it was hard to keep up.

I look to find new characters in the people I meet everyday. I am a full believer in character development and I find the best inspiration in the dynamic of human nature.

I am currently working on Book Two of The Pendant Saga. I am so excited about the way the story has progressed. I am hoping to finish this time next year!

Do not read anything on the internet about "What to not do when writing your first book!"Just write. Don't be discouraged! Get an editor that will deconstruct your writing so you have to put it back together again. Things become less precious. Don't take yourself or your writing too seriously.

I like the idea of creating friends. Characters are like imaginary friends that feel like they actually exist. My characters have become a part of me. So far that is the best part!

I usually stare at the computer for up to four hours trying to force my brain to move forward. Then I give up, and decide to take a walk. The walk usually works. If there is a way to escape the daily dredge and let your mind wander, things will come to you. I like to think of it like a making a good soup, characters need seeping time.
