The majority of my work was based on real life incidents, albeit largely embelished real life incidents.
Like most funny stories, they are experiences where you would often say "well you sort of had to be there at the time."
My job therefore as a comedy writer is not to say funny things... but to say things funny.

I explain what inspired me to first start writing in the foreword of both "SWINGERS of West London, The Early Years," and "How I Became a Best Selling Author in 2 Days."

The best thing about being a writer was when someone stopped what they were doing to contact me via social media and tell me how much they were enjoying my book.. despite only being 30% throught it at the time.
By then, I knew how many people had told me that it wouldn't be a success, (having never actually read it), and how long it stayed under my bed, threatening to never see the light of day.
That one person's message still makes me smile today, as it was sincere and there was no motive behind it, other than to give me feedback.

I learned so many lessons the hard way that I decided to put my experience into a book entitled "How I became a best selling author in 2 days" which is available on Amazon

Hi,
Thanks for getting in touch.
I'm relatively new to goodreads and I'm trying to sort this out my end, but the system keeps sending me round in circles.
All I've been able to do so far is follow you as an author.
I'm not sure what else I can do, I will contact goodreads to sort this.
Faling that have you got a twitter name I can run through the system?
Clive

I am always writing more than one thing at a time, or in the case of my series "Swingers of west London" there are 2 very different story lines (albeit both based within a swing dance class) within the same book.
One story is comedic and the other is gripping, intense and comparitively serious.
The trick is then not to consider that I have writer's block but that I simply may not be in the mood to write comedy, in which case I focus on the dramatic side (and vice versa)
This then means that the story line can continue to steadily develop, irrespective of what mood I am in, as I can focus on either storyline dependant on my current frame of mind.

I'm currently working on 2 books, the first being a book showing how I became a bestselling Author in 2 days with my first book "Swingers of West London" Part 1, The Early Years, and I am around 80% finnished with the sequel to this called "Swingers of West London, Part 2, the chase is on." both hopefully to be released soon.
