Yes. I'm very sorry about the delay, and the series will be finished this year. As I was writing the first two installments I veered drastically away from my original plan, and it threw off my plans for the rest of the story. So I've been struggling to rework the remaining episodes to fit. It isn't so much an issue with the plot as it is with pacing and tension. I'm kind of terrified that I'll put out #3 and it will be a letdown to the reader. I know the delay is frustrating for everyone who has read the first two installments, and it is for me as well. The whole series should have been finished by now! But I'd rather take my time and do it right than release something that no one will be happy with.

I've got two projects going right now. Dark Bargains is a romantic suspense about secrets and betrayals and two people in very bad places finding each other. Obsessed is a steamy May/December romance I'm publishing under my Kelli Wolfe pen name. It's about a young woman who falls in love with her boyfriend's father and has to choose between her dreams and all the things that she's worked so hard for, and a relationship that she desperately wants but knows that neither of their families are going to want to accept.

Sometimes I'll go back through the ten thousand half-formed ideas I've jotted down and something will jump out and say "WRITE ME!!!"
Other times I'll read for a while until ideas start coming together. If I've got a particular genre in mind, I'll immerse myself in it for a few days and try to read at least a dozen books by different authors to get my head into that space.

My most recent book is Dark Bargains, a romantic suspense. I was trying to decide what I wanted to work on after I wrapped up the Winter's Heat serial. I was leaning towards a military romance that's been floating around for a while, but while I started on it, I just wasn't feeling it.
I kept getting this mental picture of a house on a lake, and a man comes home and finds a strange woman sitting alone in his kitchen. He doesn't know anything about her, but he's drawn to her for some reason. And there's something very wrong with her.
The story fell out of that initial idea. I've never done a romantic suspense before, so I'm having a lot of fun working out subplots and twists to throw in here.
