Timothy Weatherall I never get writer's block. That is a serious answer. I get writers "bad", that's when everything comes out like garbage. Sometimes I just let the garbage come, then go back and fix it when I'm feeling things more. Sometimes I just stop because I think to much will be required to fix it. More often It's not because I don't know what to write, more so because I'm not sure if I'm taking the story to the right place. I usually just stop until I feel comfort with what seems right.
Timothy Weatherall I find this question a bit amusing. I would say not having to worry about what to do with your spare time...LOL. Writing/reading take up time, and require commitment. They also reward according to how much effort you put in. I think writing is cool because it's all inclusive, you don't need anyone's permission, so anyone can do it.
Timothy Weatherall Think really hard about why you want to write. If you enjoy it, and your the only one who you need to please you'll find things will come easily. If your writing for fame, or money, you are most likely going to join the millions of frustrated dreamers out there. Ultimately writing is easy, you just need a pencil. Too many people try to complicate it.
Timothy Weatherall I'm currently working on book two of The Incarnations of Joe series. The series is intended to be three books. I have a frame for the entire series, it's just about getting it done in a way that makes me happy.
Timothy Weatherall I usually just have random ideas come to me. I'm not a full time writer, so usually during my commute, or while at my primary job I'll get an idea, then go with it when I get a chance.
Timothy Weatherall My books are usually evolving ideas. I have a very small image to begin, then tend to grow the world/idea as I write. I find until I reach the midway point in writing the first draft I am not sure how the story will go. The Incarnations of Joe series started with the idea of a boy who is a vigilantly protector of animals. It evolved into much more.
