Right now, I am far to busy writing to read. I have three new works and a German translation of another I am getting ready to publish.
As well as summer time at the homestead and all that entails.
About August I'll be looking for a Jason Bourne type thing. I hope.

My favorite couple in my own work would be Andreas and Elizabeth. They closely resemble my own reality when all was right in the world.
A close second would be Duncan and his lady, in the upcoming Wind Riders Saga, which reflects more on reality.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith from the film of the same name are right near the top. Two type A personalities at the top of their game. Doesn't get much better than that.

Growing up, I heard the old folks talking about life in the old days and some of the even older extended family members talked about life in the 'Old Country.' What did I know at that young age. Now they are all gone and can't answer questions and my dad had never been interested so he had no real answers. So I joined a Black Sea Germans club and started doing some research.
My father in law came from the same area of what is now called Ukraine and he and his friends told many stories about their lives back there and the history of the region. He claimed to be a 'Blood Cossack.'
So like one of my favorite authors Jack Whyte says, 'Behind every good story or legend is a Kernel of truth.'

Lately, believe it or not, listening to the current hits on my satellite dish lol.
Usually, it will be like my characters. Nature does a lot for me as well as sitting in front of my airtight stove in my back shack.

My English Lit teacher in high school, Mr. Boss, told me to just write it down. Get it out of your head. You can and will fix it later.
Oh ya, a thick skin, the ability to accept constructive criticism and massive amounts of rejection.
We can't please everyone.

Being able to share my story and maybe, just maybe. Someone will see it and listen to it and maybe I can change one life.

Get away from it for a while. Re read one of my earlier efforts, come back to where I was and just start typing. The words and ideas start to flow.

Currently, I am working on promoting Bears and Eagles.
Eagles Claw, book two of the saga is in the editing stage.
Bears Maul, book three of the saga, will be released in rough draft serial form on my blog starting Wed June 17. A new portion will be released every Wed after.
Stuck about halfway through my latest effort in the saga.
