A sequel to my book but with a different story arc. My first book, The Sky Detective, is about the struggles of a young women surviving under an oppressive regime. My second book will be about how a woman can strive and succeed in a traditionally male-domiated field.

I find writing to be very therapeutic, a way of reaching out to people beyond your circle of friends and family. I love attending book clubs and talking with people who got to know me through reading my book. It's a priceless experience!

I have read almost all memoirs written about Iran before, during and after the 1979 Iranian revolution. However, none offers an eyewitness account of the events that inspired the revolution in Iran as they are mostly written by Iranian-American journalists. I wanted to write this book so that others may experience how it was like to live and escape Iran in the early 1980s. I also wanted to tell the story of the people whom I left behind--people who were not as fortunate as I was to leave Iran and build a new life in America.
