Justin Lee Anderson Watch this space! I have started it, but I had to abandon it during Covid, because I couldn't write funny under that much stress, and then The Eidyn Saga happened instead. Once Eidyn is finished, it might be the next thing I do, subject to a few things. Hopefully I'll have found my funny bone again by then. Thank you for being patient with me! :)
Justin Lee Anderson Hi! Thanks for the kind words. The Eidyn series has been picked up by a major publisher and Lost War will soon be rereleased, with book 2 to follow. I'll be announcing dates as soon as I can. :)
Justin Lee Anderson Hi Katharina, Really pleased you're enjoying it! Book 2 will be out late next year, all being well. I'm currently working on the sequel to Carpet Diem, which I've been promising for a while, and then I'll be on to books 2 and 3 of Eidyn. I hope you can wait! In the meantime, when you finish The Lost War, there's a Facebook group where you can come and hang out, read about the real history that inspired parts of the book and ask questions: https://www.facebook.com/groups/90790...
Justin Lee Anderson Believe in yourself. Surround yourself with people who believe in you. Have faith, and know that if all else fails, we live in an age where you can get your book out under your own steam. So concentrate on writing the best book you can, not on how you'll get it published.
Justin Lee Anderson With a nice single malt. Seriously, there is actually research to show that a few glasses of alcohol is good for creativity. It reduces your inhibitions and opens you up to unusual ideas. Hemingway might not actually have said "write drunk; edit sober" but it's not bad advice.

Other than that, just do something else. If you're really stuck, get up and walk away. Do something fairly mindless, like housework or cooking. Let your subconscious work and come back fresh later.
