My most recent book, R.Kain Narrative, I would have to say that I had that idea for quite some time. Thinking about it, mulling it over before I finally came upon the story that it is today. The original idea, if I remember correctly, was the main character was part of a team of other wizards and majestrix and would function more like an X-Men sort of team. But that never did take off and I kept rethinking and rethinking and rethinking....

I'll be honest here, I grew up watching cartoons and then going outside and playing around with the characters that I saw. I would run around in circles acting out different scenarios for each character, and that's never really left me. I'll watch a movie, TV show or read a book and think of what a character could do, or should do. I started this as a kid and it's never gone away. It's gotten to the point that if I don't write these out, I start going insane because there are so many stories that I want to share.
And there's a little bit of an arrogant streak that comes into play when I come across a story that doesn't develop or end the way that I like. I feel I could make it better.

Currently I'm working on another science-fantasy sort of thing. This was originally going to be a rewrite of something else, but the characters and situations I came up with were so intriguing to me that I wanted to make it something else entirely. It has to do with lycanthropes and secret testing and all of that.

Don't quit, follow through.
There's plenty more, but for me, seeing things through to the end is much harder for me. Creativity is great, but diligence finishes novels.

I get to entertain people, share stories, and hopefully pass on some wisdom in an interesting way.

Usually not very well. I have to solve the plot problem before I can move on and then I get frustrated. I'll figure out some way in the near future to power through such obstacles.
