In my stories I don't waste words, no need for excess that leads nowhere. My writing is clear, concise, and crisp. That's the mean reason the stories are so short. Many authors tend to add unnecessary descriptions and details to fatten their writing.

My advice....write, write what you know, and not too soon. Write outside the box, get a style all your own.
Listen to experienced writers, but don't write like them, do your own writing. There are so many genre writers now, that when you've read one book, it is as if you've seen that somewhere before. And you have, but just a different story idea.
You can be a good, or even great writer, without being a best-seller, but if that's what you want, go ahead. There's still plenty of room for more best-sellers.

I am being an octopus at the moment. Besides the amount of time needed to market my book, I am preparing my next book which is a collection of poems I wrote, and I daily write more short stories, poems I do sporadically now. You can expect a collection of poetry by the end of September 2016, followed by another collection of poetry, then two books with collected short stories, the first about various kinds of deceit (love, friendship). The next after that will be a collection of "island" stories: portraits of lives as lived on an island.

My book is a collection of 4 short stories. The stories are themed around death and dying, and all contain a twist towards the end, hence the title: Suddenly Death.
The stories are based loosely on things that happened to me or ones dear to me, but just the idea.
