Glenn Sparrow Inspiration can come from the oddest place. I was at a BBQ recently and was watching a friends daughter talking to her teddy bear. There is a story formulating.

The catch is to make sure that I capture the inspiration and get even a concept written down or I will forget it.
Glenn Sparrow I would be lying if I didn't say that one of the best things about being a writer is when I get a compliment.

To date the best moment is when Blue Ted, my son and I sat down on the couch and read the book for the first time. His laughter was worth every second I have spent on the book.
Glenn Sparrow My initial answer to this was "poorly". After some reflection I tend to take an idea and let it wander around in the deep dark recesses of my brain and admire the scenery.

Once it has finished having a wander I then sit down and put it on paper.

I also check to make sure it didn't steal any cutlery while it was in there.
Glenn Sparrow Since I launched Blue Teds Day at Home I have been asked will there be another story. The answer is yes. I am currently working on two different adventures for Blue Ted and have also started a different story about a friends little girls Teddy called Lucy's Bear.

As to when they will be out??? Watch this space.
Glenn Sparrow Inspiration for Blue Teds Day at Home came from two sources. Firstly from Blue Ted himself. He has been my sons favourite toy ever since he was born. Blue Ted is actually more popular than Lego at home.

The inspiration to write and self publish a story about Blue Ted came from a course I did with FutureLearn.com called "Start Writing Fiction". One exercise in particular called for us to create a character from someone we observe in our daily life and I see Blue Ted every day.
