Release (Sticks & Stones #1) started out as its polar opposite when I first started writing it, but people aren't bullshitting when they say characters really speak to you. I can't really say anything specifically influenced the version of Release that will be published, it was really what the characters wanted. (Good thing readers & writers understand that or someone would be passing me the medication :) ).

A lot of my ideas pop into my head. There are probably environmental stimuli involved I don't even realize most of the time. Occasionally I'll meet a person or see something that influences my creativity.

Scream. No seriously, I usually try to find a way to clear my mind. I find that if I focus too hard on the story without the words flowing I just either end up writing things I trash later and get frustrated, or wasting time. I try to move onto another project or thing to do on my list and come back to be more productive.

Way more than I should but I'm focusing on my first title Release, which will be the first part of a trilogy called Sticks & Stones. Then I plan on getting back to Innocence Abandoned. After that I'll pick up one of the 8 other stories I've started and see which one speaks to me the most at the time.

For me it's a form of therapy or relaxation. I've always had a very active imagination and it's been filled with all these characters and vibrant storylines and putting the words down and telling their stories is so thrilling for me.
