My father had two older sisters that died before he was born. The family lived in a haunted house, and the little girls supposedly died of fright. My grandmother didn't like to talk about it and now everyone who might know anything is dead. I'm sure whatever happened to those girls would make a very scary story.

I have so many, it's hard to pick just one. But, the couple that stands out most in my mind are from a Rosemary Rogers book entitled Sweet Savage Love. Virginia (Ginny) Brandon and Steve Morgan were so passionate, raw and full of spirit. They overcame so many obstacles to be together and they were the reason I wanted to start writing my own stories with strong and fiery heroes and heroines. I re-read their first love scene (they were under a covered wagon and it was so sensual) at least once a year since I first read it in 1974. I would say they made quite an impression on me.
