Her debut novel, TrueBorn: We've Waited A Thousand Years, was born out of frustration — she'd read one too many paranormal romances built around the same tired male lead, and decided to write the book she actually wanted to read: a female werewolf alpha, unexpectedly powerful (and pissed) and completely her own. That challenge turned into a series.
