I was trying to read all her connected series in overall chronological order but there are so many I gave up on that idea. Now I just pick a series available to me through the library.

QNPoohBear My Aunt Dimity book club ran out of Aunt Dimity books. While we wait for the next one, we're reading the Witch Way Librarian cozy series
Bait and Witch Bait and Witch (Witch Way Librarian Mysteries, #1) by Angela M. Sanders

It was cute. The Library of Congress doesn't work that way. It's not the Congressional Library but a research library and repository! It's huge and has different departments. Setting the impossible premise aside, I liked the mystery. I loved her witch power but not all of the witchy stuff. It made the story a little long and complicated. I loved the library and didn't understand why (view spoiler)

The characters are fun. I really like the organ player. She's hilarious. There were a lot of new people to keep track of but hopefully I'll remember who they are in January when we return for book 2.

Full review to come.

Love that series and I had to LOL when I recently met someone with the same name and hair color as the main character and also this person comes from the midwestern U.S.!

Thanks for the info. I tend to ignore over hyped books but now will take a look. There was so much publicity on this, and now the second one, that I didn't even look at it.

QNPoohBear Twelve Slays of Christmas Twelve Slays of Christmas (Christmas Tree Farm Mystery, #1) by Jacqueline Frost was sooo good! The town of Mistletoe is delightful and I want to go to Reindeer Games for Christmas! The mystery was so tight I didn't know who did it and even though I had a slight inkling, I still don't see how they could have done everything that happens. I have the second one in my TBR pile and a Vicki Delany Christmas All Year mystery too.

If I live to be as old as my mother's longest lived female ancestors and read as many books every year as I usually average and don't do any re-reads and don't add any more books... never mind.

This one was not as charming as the first one. There was more mystery and less cozy. I wanted more Reindeer Games! The murderer didn't come out of thin air this time but was still not who I expected it to be.

Yes, she was listening to what I said about baking, dogs and what a cozy mystery is. Or she asked a bookseller! I wanted to get her a less cutesy cozy but didn't see any at the resale bookstore I went to aside from one very loved Kinsey Milhouse book in the middle of the series for 50 cents. My real life friend loves cozies too so I pass them on to her and she passes them on to her cousin when she's done.

I'm halfway through We Wish You a Murderous Christmas We Wish You a Murderous Christmas (A Year-Round Christmas Mystery #2) by Vicki Delany
I'm enjoying it more than the first book. I had three suspects in mind with one primary one but now that suspect is on the radar so I'm not sure who the murderer is! I hope it's not my second top suspect.

The nosy gossipy landlady would send me packing for my parents' house ASAP while I looked for other more suitable places to live.

Wow! That was a good mystery! I didn't see that coming at all. I liked all the Christmas charm and the puppy antics. The love triangle seems to be become less of a triangle which is good. I don't know how I feel about Christmas ALL year but I'll see if I can get another one to read now or wait for later if I can't.

Gilt Trip (A Scrapbooking Mystery, #11) by Laura Childs
Ha! My last book of 2024, which I finished early in the morning on an insomnia-led 12/31, was Gilt Trip. However, my read was by Laura Childs, part of her Scrapbooking series. :o)

Wedding Cake and Widows (Mom and Christy's Cozy Mysteries #8) by Christy Murphy
My first book of 2025, read 01/01/2025, was Wedding Cake and Widows | *** My Review ***

I actually had planned for Spellbinding Blend from the Paramour Bay series by Kennedy Layne to be my first read of the year. However, as I was updating a new book spreadsheet (yes, another!), saw this series in the past data I was inputting and wondered if there were new entries to the enjoyable series. There was--only ONE, however, featuring the wedding of Christy and her police detective beau DC (along with a murder, of course).

Now I'm reading the Parmour Bay book.
