Thank you Tana, glad to be here. What a unique name.

I think she said from so old movie she watched."
Your mother eh... Funny

I just found this group and wanted to introduce myself. My reading tastes are eclectic and I write quirky short stories and novels set in the Caribbean. Before I ran off to the tropics, I was journalist in Florida. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

I also write in my free time in the genre young adult.

I love reading pretty much anything, but particularly like fiction, poetry, and science fiction/fantasy. And on the personal side, I love dogs, baking, running, and flossing my teeth.
I seem to have trouble posting. Grr. Let's try this again. Hello everyone,
I'm Joyce from Niagara Falls, Canada

Hi Ursula. Nice to meet you! Congrats on your first novel. How exciting.
Hi Ursula. Nice to meet you! Congrats on your first novel. How exciting.
For some reason my post keeps getting cut off. Maybe it's just on my end? Anyhow.
It's Joyce..again..I've been on Goodreads for a little while now. I'm a newbie blogger: www.princessofpaperback.wordpress.com and like to write about the books I've read, tv series I'm following and sometimes my love for coffee.
My fav things to read: Fiction-crime, mystery/thrillers, a bit of horror, paranormal, fantasies like Harry Potter & Game of Thrones, some historical fiction & a bit of YA.
Hope to make some connections :)
Happy reading!

Aside from historical fiction I love reading mysteries and even a little sci-fi. I also review books primarily in those three genres, but I have also read and reviewed non-fiction books.
This sounds like an interesting group and I am looking forward to Making Connections.

I'm Jayde Kemsley. I'm a reader, writer, and reviewer.
I stuck to paperbacks for the longest time, but after publishing my first novel this year, I got into the online world of books. I have only just discovered Goodreads and this group, and it sounds very cool. It looks like the perfect place to find some unsung indie works to read before bed. I'll spend sometime checking out all the sections today. Luckily I have nothing to do at work, so I'll be sitting here surfing the group and getting paid for it. :D
Cheers!

I'm Chris Norbury, a new/older writer from southern Minnesota. My debut novel, Castle Danger, came out earlier this year.
I write suspense novels about ordinary people thrust into extraordinary situations with sometimes life-or-death consequences. Castle Danger will be the middle book of a trilogy featuring my protagonist, Matt Lanier. I intend to set most of my stories in Minnesota because the state's unique in my opinion. And, aren't you just a little tired of reading suspense/thrillers/mysteries set in big cities like NY, LA, DC, featuring spies, superagents, who go around saving the world with seemingly unlimited skills and resources? Don't get me wrong, I love those stories, but I prefer to put normal people under the most pressure they've ever been under and see what happens. :-)
Here's the link to my book on my website: http://chrisnorbury.com/books/castle-...
and here you can read about it on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
I'm an avid golfer and wilderness canoe camper (Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness-BWCAW)
Looking forward to being a productive member of this group and learning from and sharing with you all.
Chris

Sorry Tana, I'm just new to all of this and trying to review books and get my own reviewed, not in return for one another, I know that's also a rule. Kind regards Elizabeth
