Kate Wilde Hi!
I am a former professional dancer who got tired of reading romance novels about dancers written by folks who obviously never danced. So, I took matters into my own hands and wrote the DANCE LESSONS series about a fictional Chicago-based contemporary ballet company and the lives/loves/work of its dancers. They are steamy reads and not for the under 18 crowd! The first two books: DANCE LESSONS & ANOTHER DANCE are now available on Amazon. They are getting five-star reviews thus far but those reviews are not showing up on Goodreads. Not sure why. Anyway, fingers crossed!

Sorry for the shameless plug but this self-publishing thing is crazy hard!

Happy summer!
Kate Wilde

Hi Kate!

Welcome to the group here on Goodreads. I used to be a ballet dancer, but have not written any books about it. I will look into reading these. They look very interesting! Is there a way to obtain a PDF copy of these two books without having a Kindle unlimited subscription?

What dance company were you with? That's great to hear a former professional dancer here on Goodreads!

Geoffrey Wells Hello, I'm Geoffrey Wells. I am preparing to release ATONE FOR THE IVORY CLOUD, an 81,000-word romantic thriller--my second book. It is a story of lovers surviving impossible physical, virtual and cultural obstacles in a world where cybercrime runs the arms-for-ivory trade. I'd love to get some advanced reviews before releasing it. And, just a word of assurance, the book has been professionally edited and copyedited, so you can read the story, not the mistakes. I look forward to interacting with this group.

Hello :)
My name is Kayla Krantz, and originally I'm from Detroit, but I moved to Texas a few years back. It's been fun comparing the different cultures of the city and the country.

I love to read psychological fiction because I love to see what goes on in the mind of the villian's in the stories I read. It makes it interesting to see that even "evil" people have fleeting moments of goodness too.

As a writer, I mostly stick to horror. A few of my writer friends have nicknamed me "The Scream Queen" because of my interest. My debut novel, Dead by Morning, is psychological horror. I got interested in this genre because of Stephen King. He's been my favorite author for as long as I can remember.

Anyway, before I start to ramble, that's a little bit about me. It's so nice to meet all of you :)

Chelsea Hi everyone, I'm Chelsea from the UK - my two passions in life are animals and reading. I read a large range of books - I will pretty much try my hand at anything (minus erotica) but my main passions are crime, real life stories, horror, suspense and dystopia. I can read a full length book in one setting if it is gripping enough and love to help new authors put the word out about their new books.
I also have a small group of friends, who we all regularly meet and share our new reading finds!

L.V. Waterman Hi everyone,
Great to join this group, I'm Larisa and I'm from UK. I've been writing for a long time, mostly for myself, but recently took the plunge and decided to actually publish something! It's been a learning curve but very satisfying to finally have a book "out there" :) I'm hoping to finish off some of my other works in limbo and get them published too.

John Matsui Hi,
I'm John. I considered myself a voracious reader but clearly I'm nowhere near the medallist podium compared to the zillion reads of some Goodreaders.
I've found reviews great in helping me get on to some truly memorable storytelling.
I love thrillers, horror, and sci-fi and write novels that combine all three and a few other genres in the same work for good measure. Sounds like a dog's breakfast but 100% of reviewers say it works.
Here's a link to a recent review that explains my mashup style. Late Bite: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Rod Longuestte I'm an old man. In my day, we di'n't have profiles - unless we stood sideways. We di'n't have no steenking Internet either. We used charcoal to write stuff on the back of shovels. That's just the way it was! When we wanted to "communicate" we'd step outside and yell at the neighbors like, "HEY! KEEP YER FREEKING DOG OUTTA MY FLOWERS!". We di'n't need no steenking email... when we wanted to send a message to someone we'd just walk down the street and hand them the freekin shovel!

Used to be an IP address was the freekin place you took a leak! Well, I hope yer all happy with this "INforMAtion SUperHIGHway". In MY day a superhighway was a two lane road... and we got all the information we needed from shoveling dog poop outta the freekin flowers!

I've just completed my first novel full-length, and am working on two sequels. If you like reading the back of cereal boxes, watching Rocky & Bullwinkle, doing crossword puzzles, and/or enjoy books written by John Lennon you would be suitable for me to abuse.

I hope you have the time to try my unusual series. It is badly written.

Dave Jordan Hey Everyone, I'm Dave Jordan. First things first, I love books on the corporate politics of media, 1960s-'70s history as well as recent presidential election long-form analysis. As you can see from my profile, it's mostly media, politics - some sports. If you happen to have a suggestion for a compelling read on the history of TV networks or studios, I'd love to hear about it. I have co-authored a book with a ex-major league baseball player, "Fastball John." As someone who has reviewed a number of sports books for well-known authors, I conducted a ton of research on what books truly resonated with baseball readers - must've read every negative review of every recently published baseball book both here & Amazon. What I also learned here at Goodreads is that a number of prominent baseball authors review books here on a weekly basis. The interesting thing is that most baseball book readers are really just readers - reviewing books on pop culture, food, politics, television history - we didn't simply want to write a by-the-numbers memoir, but a different take on memoir & heavily influenced by the sensibility of cable prestige dramas. We are conducting a goodreads giveaway of 10 books. Here's the link (https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...), I hope you to hear from you - thanks for creating this forum.
