My Foolproof Packing Method

Step 1: Buy more clothes than I could possibly need for a trip.

Step 2: Day before, wash practically every piece of clothing I own.

Step 3: Only then, pare down to what I really need for the trip and pack.

It's not the most efficient method, but it works for me.
