Oh, this was so not for me! Strangely, Benton-Walker’s prose reads more YA here than his actual YA books, which have a maturity and complexity-of-language that is very satisfying to read. The drugs, sex and swearing don’t make Drakon King read as Adul ...more |

"My only regret about Bethany Jacobs’ debut novel These Burning Stars is that it has taken me months to get around to singing its praises. This has to be one of my favourite sci-fi debuts (and a favourite read of 2023) in a long, long time.

Youngblood (Babylon Hunters #1): An Urban Fantasy M/M Romance:
"A good first book in an upcoming urban fantasy series where the main character feels all-too human when paired up with werewolves and vampires and demons and hellhounds. The Hunters in this book are more about fines than final blows, and use money an"
