Did you read books of new author? Actually, they are closer to us. For example, read "a crossing or the drop's history" by Anatoliy Obraztsov for comparing
Kristen, While I agree with your thoughts on the merits of living by the suggestions in this book, I'm confused as to your statement about it being written by a Benedictine monk. While this book is thought to have been written by Thomas A Kempis, it is not certain. That said, Thomas A Kempis was not a Benedictine. Are you suggesting that it was written by someone else who was of that order?
