Suddenly, this mysterious society, The Brotherhood, is after her. They had already killed three other girls from her high school, even though nobody suspects them--well, nobody even knows the society exists. When Athens learns they are looking forward to locating and destroying the reincarnation on ancient she-devil, and that they think she's such reincarnation, her life turns into a nightmare running for her life.

Would she and her friend Peter London--on and off boyfriend--outsmart The Brotherhood, or would both of them end up being slaughtered in a ritual as old as the Egyptian pyramids? Would they be able to unmask the members of The Brotherhood? What would it happen if they discover that too many people in Marple Hill belong to The Brotherhood, even their own parents? Would they gather enough courage to escape?

The Illusion of a Girl: Based on a true story by LeeAnn Werner

Nice reading, a page turner.

Many of the reviews both here and on Amazon seem to me like the typical review from the author's friends or relations, praising the book as if it were the next Harry Potter or the next Twilight without explaining the reasons why, only stating the story is amazing and the author’s a genious. Hold your horses. I like it, I recommend it, I gave it five starts, but it’s yet Read more of this blog post »

No Christie at her best, but acceptable.

I wonder if the series is better, probably it is. The story is not one of Christie's best (I'd go for And There Were None, Pale Horse, and Why Didn't They Asked Evans if you're looking for a non-Poirot non-Marp
