Sometimes you have to put your manuscript aside and leave it be for awhile. Then come back to it with fresh eyes and re-read/edit it from the very beginning until you get to wherever you left off. Usually, things just flow again, assuming you are doing the bidding of the muses. Don't upset the muses or they will cut you off!!!(less)

Michael Bowler I really enjoyed your book, though I had a few problems with the ending. Good, sympathetic characters like yours always help strengthen an author's message. Alas, you put in that epilogue which jumped a number of years in the lives of the two boys (and seemed to gloss over the obvious difficulties they must have faced given their respective parental prejudices), so a sequel might be in order filling in those missing years. Just a suggestion, but I'd read it because I really liked the characters. Good luck with your next project!
