Some days you'll be so excited and joyous you couldn't imagine doing anything else. Some days you may feel discouraged or defeated, maybe even believe your own writing is terrible and you wonder what the hell you were thinking. It will pass. Take a break. Read for enjoyment not comparison to your own work. Listen to music. Just step away for a moment, but don't give up. Keep going.(less)

I got the sense they were familiar with one another, but not family or a couple. I also just "knew" she'd seen someone killed and was refusing to admit it or give information. From there I was so excited about this woman and her story I started typing! (less)

“I’m stepping into an entirely different world, aren’t I?” Analise asked, scanning the trees. “I’m not really a part of yours. I’m nothing more than an interloper, but I’m not fully in mine anymore. I’m stuck between the two, on the fringes of both, not belonging in either.”

“You'll never reach your destination if you stop to throw stones at every dog that barks.”
Windston Churchill
