Hebrew is the one, which was followed by French before I started learning English in my fifth elementary grade in pre-state Israel. I overcame that difficulty by replacing writing with reading for at least three days. It worked every time. When I got back to writing on the fourth or fifth day, I found that new ideas popped up in my mind.

My father translated more than twenty books from French and…moreI don't know what is the best thing for other writers. Mine is the realization of a dream. My father translated more than twenty books from French and Spanish to Hebrew. I tried to follow in his footsteps. After I wrote my first memoir in Hebrew, I translated it to English. Unsatisfied with the quality of my writing style, I joined an internet writers workshop in which authors edited each other's chapters. After many months of being a novice among experienced writers, my writing improved gradually to a level which encouraged me to venture writing a historical novel. It was published in 2011. (less)
